Heynes Planning Ltd is a town planning consultancy providing specialist advice in relation to a range of projects throughout the UK, in particular the South West, the South East and the West and South Midlands.
The company is led by Ed Heynes who is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute. Ed has over thirty five years’ experience of working in the town planning profession.
Our clients include national house builders, land promoters, property development companies, local authorities, landowners and individuals who require a high quality, dedicated planning service.

Heynes Planning is involved in a variety of projects. Since the firm was established in 2010 it has a track record of delivering schemes for a wide range of clients. These include large, medium and small scale residential schemes plus commercial development including food stores, leisure uses and employment related schemes. Some of our recent successes include:
- Detailed planning permission for 59 units for a national housebuilder on a site on the edge of Barnstaple, Devon.
- Detailed planning permission for replacement dwellings for private clients in Barnet, London.
- Detailed planning permission for a replacement dwelling for a private client in Highgate, London.
- Planning permission, including reserved matters approval, for 200 residential units plus employment and commercial development for a regional housebuilder on a site on the edge of St Austell, Cornwall.
- Detailed planning permission for an apartment block of 19 units for a developer on a site in Romford, Essex.
- Planning permission for an apartment block of 18 units in Exmouth, Devon for a local housebuilder.
